How OmegleHang Works

1. Confirm the age requirement and rules

OmegleHang is for adults aged 18 and over. Read the terms and community guidelines, then tick the confirmation on the home screen only if it is true for you. This enables the chat buttons. No account is required for the random chat in this site.

The confirmation is not a substitute for conduct rules. Minors, exploitation, threats, harassment, and illegal behavior are not permitted. Read the safety guide before entering.

2. Choose Text Chat or Video Chat

Text Chat does not request a camera or microphone. It opens the chat screen and waits for another text participant. Video Chat opens the video screen, then requests devices through your browser. Only successful camera access allows video matching to begin.

If you choose Unmonitored Video Chat, read its separate explicit-content warning and choose Agree & enter before device access begins. Cancel or Escape closes the warning without starting capture. This section has a separate queue and skips routine automated checks.

3. Respond to browser permissions for video

Choose Allow if you want to share your devices. If the browser already remembers an allowance, a fresh prompt may not appear. A saved block must be changed in browser site controls. A website cannot override your device settings.

While a prompt is unanswered, the page stays on the chat screen rather than automatically matching you. Stop cancels your session. If a device fails, the screen explains the error and offers Try camera again. A missing microphone may allow a working camera with an accurate warning; a missing camera cannot start video matching.

4. Wait for a match and a connection

Matching needs another adult waiting in the same mode and section. The online count represents connected browsers; it includes people who may not be waiting for your mode. A connection status shows when a match has been found and the browsers are connecting.

When connected, type into the message box or speak in video mode if audio is available. Send or Enter sends a text message, while Shift+Enter adds a line break. The input remains disabled before the conversation is ready.

5. Move on, stop, or report

Next stranger leaves the current match and looks for another participant. An active camera is reused, so it should not ask for devices again on every Next. Stop ends your session, releases the page's media tracks, and returns to the home screen.

Where reporting is available, Report asks you to confirm and then ends the match while submitting the concern. A report can include recent incoming text and a current frame of the reported person's video. Do not use reports as a joke or as a way to punish someone for declining a conversation.

If something does not work

Check whether the problem happens before or after your local camera preview starts. Device permission, missing hardware, and a blocked connection are different problems. Open the HTTPS site directly, rather than inside a hosting preview or an embedded browser.

A restrictive network can prevent a peer connection even when your devices work. Try a stable network, or use text chat if you do not want camera access. For a continuing error, contact the operator with the displayed error, browser, and device type.
